Iran Set to Launch Oil Terminal in Persian Gulf

TEHRAN June 14 (Shana)--Iran will soon launch an oil exports terminal in the Persian Gulf, a senior official with Iran’s Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) said.

“The contractor has already constructed the main FSU (floating storage unit) lines in the Persian Gulf and only the joints are still to be completed. It is expected to be completed in one month,” Mohammad-Baqer Soleimani said.
This terminal was expected to be ready last month.
Soleimani also said that Iran Marine Industrial Company is likely to be removed from the development of Reshadat oil field due to its failure to fulfill its obligations.
IOOC is among the top offshore oil producers in the world. With half a century experience, it is currently running projects on more than 1,200 square kilometers of Persian Gulf waters.
