Pasargad Bitumen Exports Up 30%

TEHRAN June 19 (Shana)--Pasargad Oil Company has exported 30 percent more bitumen during the six months year-on-year, the company’s chief said.

Mohsen Delaviz said the company exported 640,000 tons of bitumen during the six-month period.
“During the same period, we have managed to reach the 73-percent increase in bitumen delivery to clients,” he said.
Despite all challenges, Delaviz said, the company’s net sale grew 13 percent, leading to 50-percent growth in gross profits.
Pasargad is the largest bitumen producer in the Middle East.
Delaviz said the company’s net profit was up 37.3 percent in the last calendar year to March from the preceding year.
He said the company is determined to bring its production to two million tons a year, adding that it faces many rivals and a competitive market.
Delaviz said Pasargad Oil Company is striking long-term deals with Ministry of Road and Urban Development for repaving streets.
