NIGC Eyes $1b LPG Sale

TEHRAN June 30 (Shana)--National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) hopes to earn one billion dollars a year from selling liquefied petroleum gas, an NIGC official said.

Pirouz Monjazi, financial director of NIGC, said LPG sale is under way without any specific problems.
He said LPG is mainly used by subsidiaries of Iran Gas Commercial Company.
Monjazi, however, said that LPG exports restrictions remain in place. He expressed hope that the restrictions would be eased.
Iran sits on the world’s largest gas reserves. It is estimated to hold more than 153 tcf of gas, barring the giant offshore South Pars gas field.
