Forouzan Output to Rise 40,000 b/d

TEHRAN July 5 (Shana)--Oil production from Forouzan oil field is expected to increase by 40,000 barrels a day by August, the official in charge of the development of the field has said.

Ebrahim Delavaran said installation of two wellhead platforms, the production ceiling of the joint oil field will rise by 40,000 b/d. 
The construction of a jacket for one of the platforms is 95% complete and will be installed by August in its designated place in the offshore field. 
Furthermore, Delavaran said, wells are being drilled at platform F18 of the field, as another well is being spudded simultaneously at platform F19 which will be ready by the next Iranian calendar year to March 2015. 
The official said earlier that the development of Forouzan field includes construction of LQA and FZA platforms, gas pressure booster station as well as subsea pipelines. A South Korean contractor is constructing the platforms. 
Iran’s Offshore Engineering and Construction Company (IOEC) is handling Forouzan development projects.
