TPO official Mahmoud Bazari said that realization of export targets of the country is dependent on the import of raw materials and activation of idle capacities of factories which will result in achieving higher added value as well.
He called on accelerating the process of importation of essential goods on a temporary basis by preparing the necessary infrastructures, adding that the existing, large, idle capacities of factories put a huge pressure on the shoulders of the production sector.
TPO's functions include promotion, facilitation, information, and support of the business community. The three core functions of trade policy, trade promotion, and trade facilitation will provide support to build productive capacities, upgrade industrial and agro-technologies, and expand exports and markets.
