South Pars Gets New Jackets

TEHRAN July 26 (Shana)--The last jackets for phases 13 and 24 of the massive South Pars gas field are being respectively loaded out and installed, a deputy head of Sadra company said.

Kamran Forouzan said four jackets were installed in the offshore field in the last calendar year to March.
He said Sadra has been assigned a new mission to provide petroleum industry services including drilling, contribution to development of oil fields and renovation of oil and gas platforms.
Forouzan said Sadra and Industrial Development and Renovation Organization have signed agreements for the construction of five drilling rigs.
He said Sadra also plans to build oil and gas platforms in Iraq, build ships for other countries and invest in oil projects.
Phase 13 development of South Pars targets 50 mcm/d of gas, 80,000 b/d of gas condensate, 400 tons a day of sulfur as well as one million tons a year of ethane and 1.1 million tons a year of liquefied gas.
Phases 22-24 development of South Pars are aimed to produce 56.6 mcm/d of sour gas, 75,000 b/d of gas condensate, 400 tons a day of sulfur as well as 2,870 tons a year of liquefied gas and 2,740 tons a year of ethane.
