Saeed Mahjoubi said the refinery is already producing 11.5 million liters of gasoline.
He said that studies are under way on a development project for Abadan refinery for increasing distillate production.
Under this development project, a new refining unit with a capacity of 210,000 b/d will become operational.
This project is estimated to cost more than IRR 111 trillion.
