Iran Oil Output Up 11%

TEHRAN August 12 (Shana)--Iran’s oil production rose by 11 percent year-on-year during the first four months of the current calendar year which started on March 21, a deputy petroleum minister said.

Mansour Moazzami, deputy minister for planning and supervision on hydrocarbon resources, said Iran’s Petroleum Ministry managed to realize oil production objectives despite restrictions and pressures.
“Selling each crude oil barrel during the first four months of the year showed five percent increase [year-on-year],” he said.
Moazzami said Iran’s crude oil and gas condensate exports have been more than planned since the start of the current calendar year.
Iran’s Petroleum Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh has said that Iran is to raise its oil production by 700,000 b/d over the coming three years.
He recently said that Iran will be able to produce more than 4 mb/d of oil if sanctions are lifted.
