Low-Benzene Fuel Distributed in Tehran

TEHRAN August 30 (Shana)--A senior official of the Department of the Environment (DOE) has said that the gasoline distributed in Tehran contains less than one-percent benzene.

Yousef Rashidi said the DOE analyzes gasoline distribution in big cities including Tehran, Tabriz, Karaj and Arak every three months to gauge their polluting rate.
“The latest analysis by the DOE shows that the gasoline distributed in Tehran contains less than one-percent benzene,” he said.
Rashidi added that the gasoline in Karaj contains one-percent benzene while gasoline in Tabriz has bigger benzene rate.
