Fajr Jam Gas Intake to Double

TEHRAN Sept 20 (Shana)--Board of directors of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) has decided to double the volume of feedstock delivery to Fajr Jam gas processing plant, an NIGC official said.

Director of coordination and supervision on production at NIGC Mehdi Jamshidi Dana told Shana that Fajr Jam gas processing plant takes now 25 million cubic meters of gas from South Pars gas field phases 6, 7 and 8 on a daily basis, which will double following a recent decision made by NIGC’s board of directors, to reach 50 mcm/d.
According to Jamshidi Dana, currently Fajr Jam gas refinery receives 25 mcm/d of dry and sour gas which will be blended with the gas produced by Nar and Kangan gas wells and will then be sent to Fajr Jam gas refinery for processing.
“Under the decision made NIGC’s board of directors, Fajr Jam gas processing plant is expected to upgrade its facilities in order to be able to raise its intake”, Jamdhidi Dana said.
NIGC has started talks with a number of consulting companies in order to provide adequate infrastructures for increasing the volume of feedstock delivery to Fajr Jam gas processing plant, NIGC official noted.
