North Azadegan Drilling to Be Over in March

TEHRAN Sept 22 (Shana)--All 58 wells planned to be drilled in North Azadegan oil field will have been spudded by March next year, director of Azadegan development said.

Keramat Behbahani said 54 wells have so far been drilled and the remaining four will have been drilled by the end of the Iranian calendar year.
He said so far 48 production, two appraisal, one key, two waste disposal and one enhanced recovery wells have been drilled in the oil field shared by Iran and Iraq.
Behbahani said 3D seismic operations, environment studies, demining, spatial planning and road construction are over.
North Azadegan oil field is expected to contribute 75,000 b/d to Iran’s oil production.
