South Pars Gas Recovery Up 14%

TEHRAN Sept 28 (Shana)--Gas recovery from the giant offshore South Pars gas field during the first half of the current year to March 2015 was up 14 percent from a year ago, managing-director of South Pars Gas Complex said.

Masoud Hassani said the gas recovered during the first half of the year is worth more than $1.2 billion.
“Gas condensate production increased 12.5 percent in the aforesaid period. Propane and butane production also increased 272 and 59 percent respectively during the first” half of the year, he said.
Hassani said sour gas injection into Iran Gas Trunkline-5 increased 78 percent in the first half of the year.
Iran produced 10.5 mcm of gas condensate, 367,000 tons of sulfur and 583,000 tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) during the first months of the year.
