Arkema Official: Iranians Keen on Latest Petchem Techs, Products

TEHRAN Sept 29 (Shana)--The Development Manager of the French Arkema Company, Laurent Quillet, said Iranian customers eye for the latest products and are keen to get the latest updates about technological advances.

Speaking on the sidelines of the 9th Iran Plast exhibition here in Tehran, the French industrialist said Arkema is willing to strengthen its foothold in the Iranian petrochemical market and currently enjoys favorable customers from Iran. 
Quillet said Iran's petchem market enjoys vast capacities which have not been utilized due to international restrictions on the country.
He expressed hope that the ties between Arkema and Iranian customers will bolster as sanctions shrink for Iran. 
Arkema is a leading Specialty Chemicals and Advanced materials Company headquartered in Colombes, near Paris, France.
Created in 2004 when French oil major Total restructured its Chemicals business, Arkema was introduced at the Paris stock exchange in May 2006. With a turnover of 6.5 Billion €, Arkema has 14,000 employees in more than 40 countries, 10 research centers worldwide, and a total of 85 production plants in Europe, North America and Asia. 
The 9th International Exhibition of Plastics, Rubber, Equipment and Machinery (Iran Plast) is running at Tehran's permanent fairgrounds and will wrap up on September 29. The showcase opened on Thursday September 16 in the presence of Petroleum Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh and many other government officials and petrochemical industrialists.
