3rd Gas Condensate Shipped from Phase 12

TEHRAN Sept 29 (Shana)-- Gas condensate exports from the South Pars gas field phase 12 hit 4.5 million tons, managing director of Iran’s Oil Terminals Company (IOTC) Seyyed Pirouz Mousavi said.

He told Shana the three cargoes shipped through the first Single Point Mooring (SPM) located in Assaluyeh, adding installation of a second SPM is underway by the contractor.
The first gas condensate cargo, a 950 thousand barrel shipment, was exported from South Pars gas field phase 12 in July while the second cargo, a 150 thousand barrels consignment, was exported in August.
At present, phase 12 is able to export one cargo of gas condensate each month on average.
IOTC’s managing director further said the company has completed essential repairs at oil storage facilities, oil pipelines and berths of oil terminals in order to prepare the ground for raising the volume of oil exports.
In reference to the Sacred Defense Week, he said Kharg Island as the last ring in the chain of oil exports played a pivotal role in resistance during 8 years of Iraq’s invasion (1980-1988 war), and has put Economy of Resistance on the agenda now, a subject that Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran has underlined.
