Gas Refinery to Boost Production

TEHRAN Sept 29 (Shana)--The third phase of Shahid Hasheminejad Gas Refining Company is to be constructed for a 20-percent rise in the facility’s gas production, the company’s managing-director said.

Nasser Eslami said the project is being operated by Iran Gas Engineering and Development Company and that the preliminary studies have been conducted for this project.
He said a contractor is to be picked for the project in two months and that the project will take three years.
The third phase of the gas refinery, which is forecasted to cost IRR 3 trillion, envisages a gas desalting unit, a 90-ton boiler, an advanced stabilizer, an open-circuit cooling package and two power generators.
Located 180 kilometers northeast of the northeastern city of Mashhad, the refinery produces natural gas, sulfur, gas condensate and middle distillate products.
