Khuzestan Ports Handle 20% More Goods

TEHRAN Sept 30 (Shana)--Ports in the southwestern Khuzestan province handled more than 23 million tons of oil and non-oil products in the first half of the current calendar year which started on March 21, director of ports and maritime organization in the province said.

Sadollah Abdollahi said the goods loaded and offloaded in the first half of the year were up 20 percent from a year ago.
He said the products included 8.7 million tons of oil and 14 million tons of non-oil products.
The main products handled by Khuzestan ports included grain, minerals, sugar, ironware and chemicals.
