He said development of the phase 3 started three years ago expressing hope it starts commercial production in the second half of next Iranian calendar year, beginning March 21 2015.
“After launching Phase 3, production capacity of urea will reach 3.3 million tons annually from 2.15 million tons now”, Zamani told Shana.
The complex takes its gas needs as feedstock from South Pars gas field.
Nameplate production capacity of the first and second phases of the complex stands at 1.36 million tons of ammonia and 2.15 million tons of urea per year.
