2 Platforms of Phase 12 Become Operational Soon

TEHRAN Oct 28 (Shana)--The volume of gas injection to Iran's national gas network will go up as much as 65 billion cubic meters per day, by launching platforms B and C in South Pars gas field phase 12 in winter,.

 Managing director of Pars Oil and Gas Company Ali Akbar Shabanpour made the remarks, adding when phase 12 becomes operational fully, it will deliver 81 million cubic meters of sweet gas and 120 thousand barrels of gas condensate per day as well as 750 thousand tons of sulfur per year.  
 
Shabanpour said the company had started designing a unit in the vicinity of the gas processing plant of phase 12 for separating ethane with the goal of delivering LPG and ethane to petrochemical plants.
 
For now, 28 mcm/d of sour gas is being produced from platform A in South Pars phase 12 which is transferred to two sweetening units of phase 12 processing plant, he said, adding since December last year more than 3.5 million barrels of gas condensate have been exported from the phase.

He also noted that 1.2 million barrels of gas condensate will be exported from phase 12 soon.

According to him, the second desulfurization unit of the phase is going to come online in the coming December while five sweetening units will become operational up to March next year.
