“The stage director of this show is the US whose objective is to damage the Iranian and Russian economies and Saudi Arabia is helping them (the Americans),” Mansour Haqiqatpour, vice-chair of Majlis Foreign Policy and National Security Committee, said.
“This game cannot go on. I hope that the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) would adopt a constructive decision to that effect so that oil could reach its realistic price in world market,” he said.
Haqiqatpour said Iranian Petroleum Minister Bijan Namdar Zangeneh’s visits to oil-rich countries for consultation are within the framework of energy diplomacy.
“Iran is a regional oil power and therefore is influential. Definitely, we will witness developments in this regard in the coming days,” he said.
