Russia Ready to Help Stabilize Oil Prices

TEHRAN Nov 17 (Shana)--Speaker of Russia’s State Duma (lower house), Sergey Naryshkin, has voiced Moscow’s readiness to negotiate with oil producing countries for the stability of crude prices.

“Russia is ready to negotiate with oil producing countries for the stability of prices at global level,” Naryshkin told his Iranian counterpart Ali Larijani in Tehran on Monday.

He also reacted to the Western sanctions imposed on Russia, saying: “Regarding the West’s sanctions against Russia, Iran and Russia share position and the issue of sanctions has no place in international law.”

For his part, Larijani said he and Naryshkin have discussed ways of boosting economic cooperation.
