CNG Delivery Capacity Rises

TEHRAN Nov 18 (Shana)--CNG stations are able to deliver more than 2.53 million cubic meters of compressed gas per hour to CNG burning vehicles across the country after the number of CNG stations rose to 2.244 recently.

NIOPDC’s public relations department announced the figure, adding since the beginning of the current Iranian calendar year on March 21, 62 new CNG stations have become operational, having boosted CNG delivery capacity by 98 thousand cubic meters per hour.  

Meanwhile 408 new nozzles have become operational since the beginning of this year and now CNG stations of the country are equipped with 12.936 nozzles.

Since the beginning of launching 10 years ago, CNG stations have been a big contribution to NIOPDC program to bring under control rising gasoline consumption in the country, leading to saving 37 billion dollars of equivalent gasoline.
