Hangam Field Platform Construction Starts

TEHRAN Nov 25 (Shana)--Construction operations have started for three platforms in Hangam oil field in southern Iran.

The platforms are being built by Iran Shipbuilding & Offshore Industries Complex Co (ISOICO) in Hormuzgan province.

Hamid Rezaeian Asl, managing-director of ISOICO, said each platform, weighing 1,500 ton, will need 20 months to be constructed.

He said the platforms have been ordered by Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC).

The official said the three platforms are estimated to cost $20 million, adding that their jackets have already been built by ISOICO.
