Budget Unaffected by Oil Slump

TEHRAN Dec 06 (Shana)--Iran’s annual budget is not affected by oil price decline, minister of economy has said.

“There is nothing to worry about as oil prices slide,” Ali Tayyebnia said.

He added that the budget for next fiscal year has also been drafted such that “oil price fluctuations will not affect it.”

“We are assured that the incomes envisaged in next year’s budget will be realized,” said the minister.

“For the current year, we don’t expect non-realization of revenues because during the first six months, the price of oil sale was some four dollars above the price envisaged [in the budget],” he said.
