Oil Price Stability Tied to Producers’ Cooperation

TEHRAN Dec 17 (Shana)--Iraq's Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jabouri has said that cooperation among oil producing countries would help curb oil price fall.

The Iraqi official made the remarks at a joint news conference with Iran’s parliamentary speaker Ali Larijani.

“The oil price decline has adversely affected the economy of certain countries and it has even affected Iraq’s internal affairs as we are delaying the drafting of budget in the Iraqi parliament,” he said.

“We believe that this issue should be scrutinized and all options should be studied so that the necessary regulations are envisaged for countering oil price fall,” said al-Jabouri.

He added that economy and security are intertwined.
