Yaran Output Set to Rise

TEHRAN Jan 12(Shana)--Production from South Yaran oil field is expected to cross 40,000 b/d, the developer of the project said.

Homayoun Kazemi said production will significantly increase in this oil field due to its master development plan.

He said that eight drilling rigs are already operating in the field and that four more rigs are to be moved there.

National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC), Puya Energy Kish, Naft Kar and Khatam al-Anbia Construction Headquarters are in charge of drilling, according to Kazemi.

He said that Iraq is already recovering 200,000 b/d from South Yaran field which the two neighbors share.
