Tehran Refinery to Activate Catalytic Reforming

TEHRAN Jan 21(Shana)--Construction of a catalytic reforming (CCR) unit of Tehran oil refinery is planned to start next calendar year which starts on March 21, a refinery official said.

He said that the CCR unit is designed to upgrade the quality of gasoline produced in this facility.

The official said the CCR unit will become operational after necessary permissions are issued by the Department of the Environment.

The project is forecasted to last three years.

Tehran refinery has a capacity of 250,000 b/d of oil. It produces high-quality gasoline and gasoil. The facility also produces 150 tons of sulfur.
