Petchem can Reach Preset Targets

TEHRAN Jan 23(Shana)--Managing director of Persian Gulf Holding Adel Nejadsalim said petrochemical industry, which lags behind schedule in realization of 2025 Outlook targets, is able to compensate its backwardness through cooperation, interaction and support from the government.

Addressing the Conference of Social Responsibilities in Petrochemical Industry, he said: "Economy, society and environment are the main pillars of spreading social responsibilities and that is the reason why petrochemical companies should pay especial attention to these factors in the course of their activities."

“Economic responsibility in the markets play a crucial role in achieving social responsibilities targets because if the companies fail to achieve their economic goals they will face challenges in commitment to their social responsibilities as well”, Persian Gulf Holding chief said.

Nejadsalism pointed out that petrochemical companies should also respect different laws of the country adding paying attention to environment, labor laws and other regulations could help the industry to attain its preset targets pertaining to social responsibilities.

According to him human dignity is another issue petrochemical companies should take into consideration, expressing hope petrochemical industry will succeed in achieving its objectives under the 2025 Outlook targets.
