He said over 60 mcm of gas is being processed at Phase 12 refinery, adding that currently the refinery receives less than 10mcm/d of sour and dry gas from Iran Gas Trunkline 5 and injects it to the national trunkline after sweetening the content.
More than 2.2 billion cubic feet of sour gas is recovered by platforms A, B and C of the South Pars which will reach 3 billion feet by the time the last train of Phase 12 comes online.
South Pars covers an area of 9,700 square kilometers, 3,700 square kilometers of which are in Iran’s territorial waters in the Persian Gulf. The remaining 6,000 square kilometers are situated in Qatar’s territorial waters.
