Recycling Unit Comes Online

TEHRAN Jan 24(Shana)--Concurrent with Clean Air Week, a recycling industrial wastewater unit was launched at Abadan Petrochemical Complex.

Manager of HSE at Abadan Petrochemical Complex Amirhasan Farjadnia said recycling the wastewater will help the complex meet its cooling towers needs to water through recycling and at the same time will reduce the flow of industrial wastewater to Arvandrud River.

Farjadnia further noted that launching the unit will also reduce pumping water from nearby rivers like Arvandrud and Bahmanshir by 25 percent.  

“This environmental project came online with 100 billion IR investment”, he said, adding HSE division of Abadan Petrochemical Company has decided to implement each month one environmental project in the petrochemical complex.

Abadan petrochemical complex is one of the largest producers of PVC in the country with average annual production of 11 thousand tons.
