TEHRAN Jan 26(Shana)--Rate of accumulation of water in Genaveh-Kharg sub-sea pipeline and ways to address the problem were examined through simulation.

Public relations department of Iran’s Oil Terminals Company (IOTC) quoted director of operations at NITC Mohammad Kazem Niknam as saying the company has succeeded in examining accumulation of water in the sub-sea pipeline and preventing the incident by deploying simulation software

Addressing a conference on oil flow in sub-sea pipelines, he said the five pipelines spanning from Gehaveh to Kharg are the main arteries for transfer of oil from the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) region to Kharg Oil Terminal, the main oil exports terminal in the country.

According to Niknam, IOTC as the last ring in the chain of the process of extraction, processing and export, always tries to increase interaction with NIOC’s subsidiaries in order to deliver qualified crude to customers addressing  their expectations.
