Taking a final decision on the installation of the jacket depends on the results of drilling a descriptive well in the phase 12.

After the installation of facilities and completion of gas extraction operations, South Pars gas field phase 12 will be able to provide 3 bcf of sour gas equivalent to 75 mcm of sweet gas.

South Pars gas field as the largest independent gas field in the world straddles Iran and Qatar territories. The giant field lies in the Persian Gulf waters, 105 km off Iran’s shore and provides half of gas needs of the country.
