Petroleum Ministry Follows Priorities

TEHRAN Jan 28(Shana)--A member of Energy Commission of the Parliament has said that Petroleum Ministry’s programs for development of shared oil and gas fields have advanced based on preset priorities.

Seyyed Saeed Haidari Tayyeb told Shana that Petroleum Ministry has prioritized development of shared oil and gas fields specially South Pars gas field over the past two years.

According to the MP, energy commission monitors developments in shared fields closely either through visits to the sites or through reports sent to the commission.

While the country is facing some restrictions, focusing on priorities is very important for oil industry, the MP said, adding fortunately rising gas production plan from South Pars gas field is underway on schedule.

Elsewhere in his remarks he said the Petroleum Ministry endeavors to move toward generating value added through replacing crude oil exports with oil products, a key issue that Petroleum Minister pointed during his visit in a public session of parliament early this year and is in conformity with realization of Economy Resistance targets.
