Sulfur Output Nearly One Million Tons

TEHRAN Feb 01(Shana)--Domestic gas refineries produced 907,000 tons of sulfur over the first 10 months of the current Iranian calendar year, which began March 21 2014, up by 14 percent against the similar period last year.

Head of gas operations department at NIGC Abdolhosain Samari said the company also succeeded in producing more than 21.999 million cubic meters of gas condensate during the aforementioned period, against 20.147 million cubic meters during similar period last year.

Production of 1.636 million metric tons of LPG and 1.227 million metric tons of ethane during the first 10 months of current year were other achievements of the company, both of which show growth year on year.  

According Samari, Bidboland and Fajr Jam gas refineries each took more than 3 billion cubic meters of gas from IGAT-5 during the period, up by 3.8 mcm/d against similar period last year.
