Phase 12 Gas Extraction Hits 51 mcm/d

TEHRAN Feb 08(Shana)--Natural gas recovered from Phase 12 of the supergiant offshore South Pars gas field has hit 51 million cubic meters per day, operator of phase 12 Rasoul Fallah said.

Referring to processing of 60 million cubic meters of gas per day by gas refineries of phase 12, Fallah said gas extraction from the phase will soar after cleaning the seabed pipelines of the phase by conducting pig running operations.

As he said, onshore facilities of phase 12 take approximately 10 million cubic meters of sour gas from IGAT-5 and inject it to cross country pipeline after sweetening.

The operator also reported that a two million barrels gas condensate consignment as the seventh consignment of gas condensate extracted from phase 12 was exported last week.

Currently, about 2.5 billion cubic feet of gas is being recovered from phase 12 which will climb to about 3 billion cubic feet of sweet gas after launching the last train of the phase in next days.

Construction of the gas refinery of the phase has made progress by 96 percent. Phase 12 will deliver 75 million cubic meters of sweet gas to the gas grid of the country after becoming fully operational. Petropars Company is in charge of construction and launching the phase.
