Gas Delivery to Esfahan Power Plant Hits 3.7 Bcm

TEHRAN March 02(Shana)--Managing director of Esfahan Gas Company said more than 3.7 billion cubic meters of gas have been delivered to power plants of Esfahan province over the first 11 months of current Iranian calendar year.

In statements to Shana, Saeed Mo’meni further said that gas delivery to the province's power plants has been continued so far this year without any interruption.

He noted that 99.5 percent of cities and 90 percent of rural areas of the province have access to gas which include 103 cities and towns and 1.448 villages.  

Average daily gas consumption of the province stands at 60.80 million cubic meters of which 46.5 percent is used by commercial and household sectors.  

According to him, 147 CNG stations operating across the province distribute around 1.2 million cubic meters of gas per day playing a great role in slashing gasoline consumption and curbing pollution in the cities.

Esfahan Gas Company managed to get the National Award of Qualification for the first time during 11th edition of the event this year, he concluded.
