On the sidelines of public session of Parliament, Hashemi told Shana that phase 12 is one of most important phases of the giant gas field in Persian Gulf waters adding inauguration of the phase is an indicator that Iranians have good news ahead.
As the largest industrial project of the country so far, phase 12 will provide around 10 percent of total gas consumption of the country.
South Pars gas field as the largest independent gas field in the world lies in the Persian Gulf waters and its reserves straddles in Iran and Qatar territories.
