Iran to Double Oil Exports If Sanctions Lifted

TEHRAN March 16(Shana)--Iran’s petroleum minister said on Monday that the country could double its oil exports only several months after sanctions are lifted.

“In case international sanctions against Iran are lifted, 1mb/d will be added to the country’s crude oil production and exports in several months,” Bijan Namdar Zangeneh said.

“With the lifting of sanctions against Iran, many things will happen and a 1mb/d increase in Iran’s oil exports after the removal of sanctions are forecast not to largely affect the crude oil price and world markets,” he said.

“The anti-Iran sanctions currently in effect are cruel and they have denied the Iranian nation its rights,” said the minister.
