“Gone is the era of sanctions coupled with application of restrictions and pressure,” Rouhani said after the inauguration of Phase 12.
“Concurrent with the inauguration of this phase, we tell all negotiating parties with the Islamic Republic of Iran that the sanctions were not the cause of negotiations and the reason for which the world is negotiating with us is that these negotiations are in the interest of Iran, the [Middle East] region and the P5+1 member states,” he said.
Rouhani said that “today we feel that the petroleum industry has been nationalized in the Islamic Republic by Iranian industrialists and experts.”
“In my view, the inauguration of Phase 12 carries a message to the world; when the Iranian nation decides to do something, no power can stop it,” said Rouhani.
