Storage Capacity at Mahshahr Port Rising

TEHRAN March 17(Shana)--Oil products storage capacity at southern port of Mahshahr will rise by 2.5 million barrels over the first quarter of new Iranian calendar year beginning march 21 2015.

Operator of the project Mohsen Dini told Shana that onshore sector of the project comprises installation of a power line, a processing unit and renovation of old ports.

According to Dini four storage tanks are under construction for storing gasoil and 8 storage tanks for stocking fuel oil.

Stating that the project has made progress by 91 percent, Dini said that around 70 percent of necessary equipment of the project has been made domestically.

With six oil products loading and offloading piers and a number of storage tanks, Mahshahr port plays an important role in exports and imports of oil products.
