“Phases 15&16 of South Pars gas field will become operational in months,” Bijan Namdar Zangeneh said.
He said that two topdrives for Phases 15&16 are now ready, adding that four trains of these phases are ready to start operation.
Zangeneh also said that the offshore section of Phase 17 is also ready with two trains in activity.
He said that phases 12, 15&16 and 17 are the prioritized phases of South Pars with a daily output of 75 mcm, 38 mcm and 12 mcm respectively.
Zangeneh said the inauguration of Phase 12 of South Pars is an important development of Iran’s petroleum industry struck hard by sanctions.
