IOTC Raises Oil Exports Capacity

TEHRAN April 08(Shana)--Managing director of Iran Oil Terminals Company (IOTC) Seyyed Pirouz Mosavi said modernization of jetties and overhaul of loading installations at Kharg oil Terminal have contributed to boosting oil export capacity.

He said overhaul of loading arm at eastern jetty of Kharg oil terminal helped the company to raise oil exports last year.

According to Mosavi, modernization of jetty T at Kharg oil terminal which cost 62 billion IR rials in a one-year period not only raised crude and oil products export capacity by 70 thousand barrels per hour but lowered demurrage and other costs related to delay in berthing to zero.   

“IOTC is always seeking to make sure sustainable exports and boosting storage capacity as the main characteristics of an efficient oil terminal”, he said.
