IRGC Solicited for South Pars Projects

TEHRAN April 11(Shana)--Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) is soliciting the engineering arm of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) for the construction of eight platforms at South Pars gas field, POGC chief said.

Ali-Akbar Shabanpour said the Khatam al-Anbia Construction Headquarters and SADRA company are to announce their intention.

The eight platforms are to be built in phases 13 and 22-24 of the massive offshore gas field which Iran shares with Qatar.

Once fully developed, South Pars would be producing more than 800 mcm/d in three years.

Iran is incurring $100 million a day in losses for each day of delay in gas recovery from South Pars.
