Phases 20 & 21 Development Prioritized

TEHRAN April 18(Shana)--Managing director of Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC), Aliakbar Shabanpur has said the company has development of South Pars gas field phases 20 and 21 high on the agenda.

He said the company will try to help the contractor to honor part of its promises regarding development of phases 20 and 21.

Operator of the South Pars gas field phases 20 and 21 Seyyed Gholamhosain Garshasbi had already announced that the two phases have made progress by respectively 48 percent and 38 percent in view of drilling wells and construction of platforms.

Development plan of the two phases is underway under an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract by domestic contractors and manufacturers.

Development plan of the two phases aimed at production of 50 million cubic meters of gas for domestic consumption, 75.000 barrels of gas condensate, and 400 tons of sulfur per day. Annual production of one million tons of ethane for delivery to petrochemical plants and 1.05 million tons of liquid gas are the other targets have been defined in the framework of development plan of South Pars gas field phases 20 and 21.
