IGEDC to Complete 5 Gas Pressure Stations This Year

TEHRAN April 21(Shana)--Five gas pressure stations will become operational up to the end of the current Iranian calendar year to March 2016 with the aim of boosting gas transfer capacity through IGAT-8.

In statements to Shana, managing director of Iran Gas Engineering and Development Company (IGEDC) Alireza Gharibi said launching Khonj, Jahrom, Safashahr, Naeen and Kashan gas pressure stations located along the IGAT-8, is one of the top priorities of the company over the course of this year.   

Gharibi noted that necessary equipment has been prepared, adding the stations are under construction by related contractors.

IGAT-8 with 56-inch diameters and more than 1.000 km length carries as much as 110 mcm of gas per day.

Earlier, managing director of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) told Shana that completion of IGAT-6 and IGAT-9 as well as launching gas pressure stations of IGAT-8 were top priorities of the company this year.
