IOPTC’s chief, Abbasali Jafari, made the remarks in an interview with Shana, adding the company was awarded due to taking some initiatives to improve the environment including prevention of contamination of water and soil, expanding green space and modernizing pipeline network across Lorestan province.
Furthermore, Imam Khomeini (Shazand) Oil Refinery was awarded Green Plaque during the ceremony due to abiding by environmental standards.
Production of qualified oil products compatible with updated specifications with the aim of reducing pollution and promoting healthy life in the mega cities of the country were the reasons that convinced the conference to award Green Plaque to Imam Khomeini (Shazand) Oil Refinery.
The refinery produces 16 million liters of gasoline and 12 million liters of gasoil per day with euro-4 specifications.
16th Conference of Green Industry was held here yesterday in the presence of Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Namdar Zanganeh and head of Department of Environment (DOE) Masoumeh Ebtekar.
