“Entrance into international markets and further interaction in this sector are among the top priorities of NIORDC this [calendar] year,” Abbas Kazemi said.
Iran’s calendar year started on March 21.
Kazemi said Iran would become an exporter of gasoline after the first phase of Persian Gulf Star Refinery becomes operational later this year. Iran is now an importer of gasoline.
He said NIORDC would continue to feed power plants with natural gas instead of liquid fuel.
Kazemi also said that Iran would be exporting 3,000 tons a year of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
