Phases 17&18 Refining Facilities to Come online by March 2016

TEHRAN April 26(Shana)-- “Under our planning, before the end of current Iranian calendar year to 21st of March 2016, onshore facilities of South Pars gas field phases 17&18 will be able to process 28 and 20 mcm of gas per day they will take respectively on a daily basis from offshore sector of the phases 17&18 and phases 6-8 of South Pars gas field”.

Hassan Bovairi, operator of the South Pars gas field phases 17&18 made the remarks, adding offshore platforms of the phases are ready for gas extraction.
He said, “We have focused our efforts this year on launching the second phase of refining facilities of phases 17&18 where Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO) is in charge of the development”.  

He continued Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company (IOEC) has launched two sweetening trains of the refining facilities of the phases so far.

Development plan of South Pars gas field phases 17&18 is aimed at production of 50 mcm of gas, 80 thousand barrels of gas condensate and 400 tons of sulfur per day. Annual production of one million tons of ethane and 1.05 million tons of liquid gas are the other targets of development plan of the phases.

An Iranian consortium comprising National Iranian Oil Engineering and Construction Company (NIOEC), Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company (IOEC), Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO) and Iran Marine Industrial Co (Sadra), is in charge of development the onshore and offshore sectors of phases 17&18.
