He said the issue was raised during a meeting with a high level legation headed by Poland’s deputy foreign minister on Tuesday.
Zamaninia continued subjects like cooperation in oil and gas sector were the main topics on the agenda.
“The two sides also held talks on cooperation in petrochemical industry because we believe boosting international cooperation with other countries could result in strengthen the status of Iran’s private sector in oil industry activities”, he added.
On the possibility of gas exports to Europe, Zamaninia said that European countries are seeking to diversify imports of energy by cutting their reliance on just one country.
Stating that the Islamic Republic of Iran seeks gas exports to Europe in the middle-term and long-term, the Petroleum Ministry’s official said conservation in energy and especially gas could play a great role in providing enough resources for exporting gas to Europe.
Poland’s Deputy Foreign Minister Katarzyna Kacperczyk, heading an 80-member business delegation, arrived in Tehran on Sunday for a two-day visit.
The delegation also comprises top directors from Poland’s ministries of foreign affairs, agriculture, and economy, as well as representatives from a wide range of companies that plan to look for opportunities to invest in Iran in different areas.
