Bandar Abbas Refinery Eyes 4ml/d Raise in Gasoline Output

TEHRAN May 13(Shana)--Bandar Abbas Refinery's gasoline output will rise by 4 million liters per day by the end of the current year, said a senior petroleum official.

Managing-director of the National Iranian Oil Engineering Company (NIOEC) Mir Ali-Asghar Sajedi said the company is carrying out a project for the refinery to boost its production capacity and quality considerably by the end of the current calendar year to March 20. 

He said the project, which is 93% complete, is aimed at reaching self-sufficiency in production of high-quality gasoline and activating domestic potentialities. 

He said an investment of nearly 500 million euros has been made over implementation of the plan which will be completed by March 2016. 

70% of the equipment used for completion of the project is manufactured by Iranian industrialists, said the official, adding that the project is funded by Iranian financiers.
