Drilling Over in Phase 19 of South Pars

TEHRAN May 25(Shana)--Drilling operations in Phase 19 of the massive offshore South Pars gas field are over, drilling manager of Petropars Company said.

Mahmoud Javadian said 15 wells have been drilled in this phase of the giant gas reservoir shared by Iran and Qatar.

He said a total of 21 wells in Phase 19 would produce 2 bcf of gas.

Phase 19 of South Pars is currently 85% complete and two refining trains of this phase are to be launched this year.

Phase 19 is under development for the production of 56 mcm/d of sour gas to be transformed into 50 mcm/d of sweet gas, 550 tons a day of ethane, 2,000 tons a day of propane, 1,200 tons a day of butane, 80,000 b/d of gas condensate and 400 tons a day of sulfur.
